I'm leaning towards Gabs and WC thoughts. The choochoo ride is a major day out .We will probably want to try the Whitby fish and chips. So a few communal drinks and crisis or light nibbles Friday evening is fine with us. That way we still get Sir Outnumbered involved.
BBQ we can try on a dry day as long as the rain master doesn't dance :p
The spontaneous events are always the best...

We're happy to go with the flow but agree with Sir Gabs, and a lot of the food at these communal shindigs is wasted or given to strangers anyway because there's always more than we could possibly eat :)
If the weather is ok we can sit outside for a natter with drinks and nibbles for those who want them anytime and if it's raining we could always ajourn to the pub.

Sooooo, basically we are talking about a Drinks party, with nibbles.

WHOOO HOOO.

We will be bringing some Ale and a bottle of single malt for communal sampling. We also have some Pims and lemonade for girly drinkers like me. If there is any Baileys left by the time we leave, that can come as well....also I have Bacardi.

I will bring just one packet of crisps to prevent waste.

I'll still bring some pork pies, they go down well with a pint or six, not that I imbibe or touch pies of any description these days you understand
I had two pints of Beijing Black (a porter) last week at a music festival and I was falling about :silly:

Mindful of the debacle at last year's Woosiefest when we ran out of gas (faulty gauge - honestly) on the FIRST day, and only carrying one cylinder to save nose weight, I have taken a second full cylinder to the van in storage this morning, as we are away a total of 9 nights across two sites. With prior clearing out of excess contents in the van and locker I have managed to get the nose weight below the limit 85 kg with both cylinders loaded. The ball height for the unloaded car measured 20.5" so I used the accurate scientific nose weight measuring method (bathroom scales on caravan steps) and had readings of 73 kg at 18.5" and 74 kg at 17.5". Assuming the car goes down another inch when loaded to be within euro height limits then the nose weight will be about 75 kg. :)

I must thank Sir Dustydog again for riding his big white charger to our rescue with the loan of his spare gas cylinder last year. ;)

The above weighings were without the battery installed so that will add a bit more to the nose weight as the battery box is forward of the axle. I was trying to decide last night which of the 2 batteries I have to take. One is 86Ah and the other is 115Ah and are different in physical size, so I weighed them both. :eek:hmy: The smaller one is 19 kg and the bigger is 21 kg, hardly any difference which surprised me. The smaller battery amply ( ) handles the motor mover on our sloping drive and is easier to fit into the locker box so I guess it will be that one (and also a little bit lighter).

See you all soon.

Not me, -- but I wish it had been!
I was in a store yesterday, this operator
was on the check-out, face like a slapped backside and all the charisma of a half eaten waffle.
I came to pay, I had only bought milk and bread but had no change.
"£1.03 please"
"Sorry this is all I've got," as I handed her a £20 note.
"Haven't you got anything smaller, 'cos it will take all my change, and I don't wanna count out £18.97?" she replied and pulled a stroppy face.
"I've got nothing, if that helps," I replied...
she didn't get it so I thought blow it, I'll pay by card.
"Shall I pay by card?" I asked.
"Don't do me no favours," she snapped.
I kept my cool and just put my PIN in.
"Cash back?" she asked sarcastically.
I couldn't resist it... "Oh yes, £18.97 please."

A couple of years ago i fitted one of these yes it's only rated @ 57Ah but it weighs just over 21kg :eek:hmy: the old one was from the same manufacturer rated @ 80Ah and that weighed in at 30kg :woohoo: :eek:hmy: and @ only 57Ah it moves my 1600kg van ok ;)

Today i have been messing with one of these so that when the mover is switched on this gizmo comes alive and strait at a glance i can see the battery voltage and the power being used by driving the motors on the motor mover interestingly enough although the mover was not engaged it peaked at 17.99 Amps when both motors kicked in and drawing 228.4w @ its peak, next weekend i will be dropping the awning and will be able to see what sort of power the motors are demanding when under load ... i will also be able to see how the battery voltage is performing whilst moving the van ....
