Been a bit damp here but did manage to get out to do a bit of shopping! Didn,t realise the Avon was quite so tidal up here! Are you still looking forward to it?

Congratulations to King Gab.

And many thanks to ex king Gafferbill for all the good works done during his reign.

BTW, can someone explain the 'Woosie Greaser' suffix?

Thanks Sir Haggis.

King Gabsgrandad's coronation outfit has a motorcyclist's theme. ......hence the Greaser T shirt
The new King is into motorbikes.

Yep Anseo the word greaser obviously has different connotations in the various areas of the country from where the members come from! I maybe ought to be offended by the name as in our area 'greaser' tends to mean 'up the bosses backside!' and I'm sure the past Kings didn't mean it in that way, -- Did they? . I'll stick to the motor cycle bit!

Down South I was known as a Greaser on my old BSA C15.
The dictionarg says a Greaser is "a young man with long hair belonging to a motorcycle gang."
Never thought that words in different parts of the UK had different meanings. :woohoo:

Well another year gone by. Another closer to retirement
Just want to say a big thank you to all fellow Woosies, ex kings and all who enjoyed our little merriment weekend. Look forward to this every year but be warned new king my daughter gets married next September so some date jiggling will be required. ;)
Most are leaving tomorrow so have a safe journey back home. I've only got 6 nights left alongside sir dusty :)

We have had 2 Woosiefests this year and both I think were enjoyed by all.
I would like to thank Alan Dustydog and Kevin Gagakev for their help and the new King for being such a good sport :)
I also want to thank Claire Crazyguider and the wives for all their efforts.
Lets do it all again next year :)

Graham get well soon and we will see you and Joan next year.

PS......down south a Greaser is a keen motorcyclist!

Assuming mother plays ball, I've just done a quick home to Norwich for a guide and it's not much further than here. Any further and it would need to be our main holiday in the month of August. A rally field in South Devon for then would be spot on!!

Already looking forward to next year :cheer:

Thanks must go to all you lovely Woosies, who helped make this weekend so much fun.
A shame Mike and Wendy had to make an early departure, but Mike is now on the mend, so hopefully they can join us another time.
Looking forward to our next meet, but if it's miles away I'll have to fix a teleport system :cheer:

The good news is our new King can still get his leg over........His bike
A big thank you to our last King Gafferbill and Belinda for organising this year's two Woosiefests. A lot of hard work and effort went into making this year's meet so successful.
We had great fun at The Crown who gave us a room for our pleasures.
Many travelled a long way. Well done!
We did toast all our absent Woosies and hope they will join us at next year's bash.
Our new King Gabsgrandad is working on a venue which may give us rain sea surf and sand. Rain is to help Kev feel at home :p
Well done all the Woosies. Our Jacobs Table yesterday was awesome :cheer:

Home safe and sound, heavy rain on and off on the way back. Looks like I'll be mowing tomorrow or Wednesday. Thank you again to everyone for such a great few days. We're not having a great year and it was a brilliant boost for both of us.
