How can someone buy a caravan and not insure it?

It's like going to buy a car and driving it home with no insurance, what happens if you have an accident in both cases with the car and something happening to the caravan.

Who would not insure it before they collected it? If the insurance company was not open I would wait before I picked it up.

Well someone did because it is posted under Wheel Clamp under the Insurance, security and storage forum, there must have been a good reason why they never did, now they are out of pocket by over £10k.

Considering the ease that you can insure your valuables these days I too find this sad story amazing.

The CC the C&CC, NFU and others will arrange insurance over the phone and fax down a cover note within minutes.

No excuse NOT to be insurred.

Apart from the "It will never happen to me" brigade whose belief is that they are somehow immune. Until it happens to them.
