I am fed up to the back teeth with all the so called green issues.

I am all for saving the planets resources, i.e. recycling, as all resources are finite, however, I firmly believe that the so called global warming is not man made, but purely cyclic.

One only has to look back at history to see the heat waves that occured in the UK in the 11th and 12th centuries, followed by mini ice ages in the 16th and 17th centuries, when the Thames froze over.

However, our Labour government is jumping on the band wagon by taxing everything and everyone in the guise of a "green tax".

It wouldn't be so bad if the money was used as it should be instead of going into central funds.

If it is eventually proved that the weather is cyclic, will we get a refund of all these taxes?

We will soon have to watch what we eat, as I'm sure Mr Darling will soon impose a methane tax ( or F**ting tax)

In the meantime I will continue to enjoy my caravan, towed by a 4x4 that averages 38MPG overall.

well done mate! But you should have gone for the 4.2 supercharged!!!

Don't even notice the Bailey is on the back!

Don't forget to get yourself a Greenpeace sticker for the back window - confuses the hell out of the lentilists.

Quote "Rangies are such a rare sight these days around City Hall"

What about all those Land Rover Discoveries used to ferry all the dignitaries around the various Olympic sites around London, (12 of them if I remember the video footage shown on the news).

The Range Rovers used for escorting our none elected PM from Downing St., to the House of Commons.

All the gas guzzlers used at the recent climate change conferences around the world.

Not to mention all the junket jet journeys around the world that our so called "leaders"? participate in.

Talk about do as I say not as I do.

Personally I can't wait for the sea levels to rise, to wash away the complete House of Lords and Commons and do away with the lot of them.

Steven.

A question...which is better to buy a Range rover V8 that is completely made in the UK, or to buy a cleaner, greener car that has spent months on a ship being transported half way round the world. Shipping is one of the worst contributors of CO2 gas.

Bazz I applaud you on buying British!
No contest - buy a decent car from Japan.

British motor industry lost the plot in the 1960s.
