    Kojack lite

I bought one a couple of weeks ago, as been said fitting brackets was a pain, because of alko spare wheel carrier. However quite pleased with it, paint finish was a bit thin I thought, and by plastic case was broken (inside skin of blow-moulded shell), its because of not enough room for the 3...

    Security (winter) Wheels

Came out to the drive this morning to find that my hitch cover had been cut open with a sharp knife. Someone had done this I think to check quickly if my caravan hitch, had a lock on it. It has an alko lock and I have a wheel clamp fitted, I am really worried about theft from my drive now, The...

Jonathan We had the same problem with our little one in our Amara 500/5. We bought a Tomy bedguard from argos which worked well with our daughter she slept on one of the rear benches of the rear dinette, she then progressed up onto the bunk that can be put up over the rear double, end of last...

    Cruise control

Was listening to Radio 2 yesterday afternoon, they were discussing silly or amusing warning notices that Manufacturers put onto their products. The one that had me chuckling for ages was that some American RV rental companies have had to put warning notices onto the Cruise control switches...

    New Honda CR-V tow mirrors

Annie I too use the Milenco Aero Mirrors and both of mine are the flat glass ones. Had to swap round the arm bracket on one for the near side of the car, as I wanted the mount to be at the top of the vehicles mirrors, only took a few secs.

    Another Honda towbar query

Annie I also have the 2007 CR-V and a Honda fitted detachable towbar. (Its actually a Bosal make with a Honda badge). My van has the Alko hitch as well and you will have no problems with the coupling. The only thing you must do is remove the black paint covering the ball with some fine grit...

Spoke to a mate about my heater making noises sometimes when on. He said that the dealer is should tighten something inside that works loose with towing when the van is serviced. Does anyone now about this?

Honda CRV 2.2 CTDI ( New Shape)

Robert We have been towing with the new CR-V since April and our Coachman Amara 500/5 is a heavy van. I have reported in the past that the rear suspension is quite soft, and my wife feeling sick while pregant on some minor roads. We sorted out most for our problems by increasing our noseweight...

    Coachman Amara or alternative

Magnus I have a special edition 2006 Amara 500/5, it is our first van and have never had a problem with the van, we have a 3 year old and she hasn't managed to break anything as yet. We would recommend a Coachman to anyone. We never did any research on caravans before we went to buy, but...

    Top Gear and Caravans

fixed beds, quilts or sleeping bags, please help?.

I totally agree that the two duvets on each bed are the way to go. We have a twin dinette caravan and trying to put on a fitted sheet each time we made the beds was my biggest hate. Its far more easy to throw on a duvet to lay on with one pulled over you. I can't wait until the kids a a bit...
