Juliet We were at Fallbarrow this summer which is right on the Lake at Bowness on Windermere. Fab site just a 2 min walk from the town centre. My husband went lots of hill walking with our German Shepherd.

if you're only stopping because you can't get into the site early hours, there's a holding car park across from the site entrance that you can park up on, don't know if that helps
