    Suffolk site ideas - please!

We’re hoping to head down to Suffolk in April/May time. I’ve never been before but the inlaws rave about Southwold and Aldeburgh. It might be just where I’m looking but there’s seems to be shortage of quality sites in this area. The best recommended so far is the moon and sixpence. If any...

    Sandy Balls

Love it too. Very well done for such a large holiday park, much more class than a Haven or a Holbourne site we've been to (IMO) Prior to kids and buying the van, we'd never go to the same place twice as the worlds a big place...........but we're now planning our third trip to Sandy balls...

Kampa Rally 390 Lightweight Type Awnings - Advice

I’ve just taken delivery of a kampa rally 390 and at first glance it looks a big improvement on my 4 year old suncamp ultima 390, material and poles better quality, design improvement in the adjustable poles and ability to achieve a better seal down side of van. Unfortunately I wont be able to...

    Kampa Rally 390 - 2012 models

Has anyone got a heads up on any changes to the Kampa 390 awning for 2012? About to pull the trigger on a new 390 but is it worth waiting a couple of months? thanks Gavin

    Not happy with repair job

Like an idiot I managed to catch the back end of our 2008 swift on a gate, in my defence I think the gate closed on the van as I went through. Anyway the van ended up with two large gouges, about 12 inches long at the top left of the side wall. A few weeks on after an insurance claim to pay...

Could a motor mover be the answer to our problem

This doesnt sit with what pwrtouch and Reich have told me. Both say the isolator switch need to be location under the hook up point in the battery box. Is this something to be concerned about. Both are suggesting if I cant get to the battery box, but can still get in the van the switch can be...

Could a motor mover be the answer to our problem

wow loads of positive comments. Not so positive when I spoke to pwrtouch today, sound like the isolator switch needs to be in the battery comparment which I wont be able to get to that side of the van will just 7" from the boundary fence. They suggest cutting hole in the battery box that can...

Could a motor mover be the answer to our problem

Thanks for the reply, thats a good tip. How do you turn the jockey wheel around,I wont be able to get to the front steadies to drop them. So with the van on gravel I'd imagine I'd have to life the front of the van up and quickly spin the jockey wheel around. Thanks

Could a motor mover be the answer to our problem

wow, fantastic, thanks for the replies and great they are so positive. All I now need to worry about is blocking the street, spinning the van around and reversing it onto the drive. Spent the last hour comparing makes, looks like powertouch are currently coming out top. Thanks

Could a motor mover be the answer to our problem

Evening all, At the moment our van is kept at a storage site just under 30 minutes drive away. What with hitching up it an hour round trip just to get the van back to house. Not having the Van on the drive is making getting away for a short break a right pain in the backside. Well this...

fully serviced pitch - whats needed

Evening all, another daft question coming up.... We're booked on a fully services pitch for the first time (sandy balls) and keen to make to the most of services on the pitch. I was wondering what the options are for hooking up to main water? I've seen the aqua roll main adaoptor kits, is...

Panicked at the thought of fuel stops.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! We're looking at a 200 mile journey; I will be filling up solo before setting out. Fuel capacity is 12 gallons, and I probably get 20-24mpg when towing so theoretically it could be done on one tank. Thursdays Child- what a horrendous experience, I'm not...

Panicked at the thought of fuel stops.

Fairly new to caravanning, this will be our third year. So far we've generally not been to sites much more than 3-31/2 hours away, so up until now we've been able to get to where we're going on one tank of fuel and I've not had to stress about finding a petrol station I can squeeze in and out...

Thoughts on old shape x-trail or old shape crv.

wow, lthanks you everyone. Loads of good comments for me to mull over. I managed to sell my car private this weekend, so its all out looking for a replacement now. After test driving a '56 crv on Saturday we've pretty made our minds up to go for a CRV. Not a nice to drive as the car we've...
