    Air awnings

Hello! We (Mrs Keith and I) have a Kampa Rally Air Pro 260 for short breaks and a 390 for the main, longer holidays. We did have a poled awning until recently. There are pro's and cons with both:- Poled awning are lighter and smaller when packed but can be a pain in higher wind...

Best time of year to purchase touring caravan

I brought our first van from a dealer. This was so we had a full 12 month warranty and some peace of mind if things went wrong. The van we got had one owner and was new from the dealer we brought it from. It had a full history and had been looked after which has paod dividends now we've...

    GRP v Aluminium

That's a good question and there seems to be split in GRP and aluminium from manufacturers. We've just broght a new van which is GRP, even the underside of the floor! My guess is that GRP is stronger and more damage resistant and doesn't need painting. Like yours, our old van was aluminium...

    Buying a new Swift

Thank you for the post Icaru5. It's taken 2 months to get to this point and, up to now, we have had good service. All our questions have been answered and they have been patient, especially as we were considering another make at one point. It's a 90 mile round trip for us to Grantham and I...

    Looking for first caravan!

My advice, in plain terms, is to look at vans that are an 85% match with the tow car, especially if this is your first one. That's 85% at Max Technical Permissible Laden Mass, not running order. There are plenty to look at, and surely there is one out there for you.

Leaking front window in my Xplore

I'm sure Prof will know the answer, but I'm guessing that you could reject the van as not fit for purpose, especially as it's already been repaired. I'm unsure whether this will fall under the sale and supply of goods act or the consumer credit act. Prof???

Genuine customer service from a cardealer -amazing

Wow, that is good service. If only mote dealers were like it. I think I shared my experience with the Vauxhall dealer following some issues with their customer service that resulted in them doing this years service free of charge and saving me £500 It's all about telling them what you expect...
