    TWIN AXLE MOVERS

Hi It's 110amp - I leave it on the van usually for a few weeks but then we have trouble. If I charge it before we go then it works ok. Have had other problems with this mover too which has resulted in 2 trips back for repair - loose wires and faulty brusehes the cause. Cheers

    TWIN AXLE MOVERS

Hi I've got a Carver (now Truma I think) mover on my Sterling TA and have had nothing but trouble with it. It regularly trips out and cannot take even a slight drop in battery voltage. I wouldn't recommend it and am also seeking to replace it so good responses would be useful. K

    twin axles

I have to agree that twin axles are a lot more stable. They are a thing to shift without a motor mover though if you have restricted access. Our Eccles elite Explore is a joy and so much more room that it makes the reduced mpg well worht while. No trouble getting in anywhere but only do UK at...

    Edinburgh Caravan Club Site

Hi Just got back from ECC - it is easy to get to from the City By-pass A720 - just a little foray thro suburbia at the end. As said there is not much to see but a good Firth of Forth path walk is close and a family boozer is 1 mile away. The number 42 bus takes one into the city for

Van damged whilst being serviced - again!

Hi Thanks for all your responses. I'll be trying the numbers. The other thought I had was to insist they service whilst I wait. My experience of this dealership has been severely dented (pardon the pun) but it was interesteing to note that I am not alone. PS I am Halifax based in W Yorks...

Carver (Truma) Twin Axle motor mover fault

Hi Thanks to all the responses. We went away to Edinburgh CC over new year and found the mover would run unengaged but right was slower than the left - so the drive is in place but once we engaged it the thing would not drive on the right. Maybe the motor is clapped? rgds kingsley

If anyone is up there then and fancies a brew (or something stronger) we're in the Sterling Elite Explorer with 4Motion Silver Passat Est. Merry Xmas...

Carver (Truma) Twin Axle motor mover fault

Hi My motor mover has stopped working on one side - sounds like the motor is running but no drive. Wonder if the chain has snapped but not sure. I've had stacks of problems with this mover since we got it a year ago (I think it was new on the 04 van it was on). Anyone else had similar or...

Van damged whilst being serviced - again!

Hi I've just got my van back after service at which it was damaged (and repaired) whilst in their care. This is the 3rd piece of damage I have experienced during their care - sloppy is not the word I would choose! It's got to the stage where I now want to get it serviced at home so it is in...

    hendra, newquay, cormwall.

Hi We went to Hendra last year in the peak August season and had a really good time. It was busy but we were set up on a fully serviced pitch and was away from tents etc. I don't know what the toilet blocks were like as we didn't use them. If you want peace avoid Hendra in peak period but if...

Anyone got a Sterling Eccles Amethyst

Hi We had a 2004 Eccles Amethyst and traded for a 2004 Elite Explorer in Jan. We loved the Amethyst and particularly miss the L Shape although parallel seats have their place. Our biggest problem was that our son used the bunk all the time so we left it up which meant that the rear seats could...
