I was joking John L ;) Carver do recommend draining down, but only for winter! I got out our Carver user instructions and installers instruction for fitting and testing that came within our caravan pack. Reading both manuals they only advise to drain down for winter or in freezing weather not...

Make sure the tow hitch is not pushed in. It could still be pushed back from reversing the van. Make sure it is pulled out and see if pulling parking brake up and down free's up the wheels. We never leave the parking break on when not in use. Ria
