Blacko - If the site you are considering is the Bois Soleil Site at St Georges De Didonne then I would definately book as this is a very popular site and you might finish up having to settle for a "pokey" pitch otherwise which might spoil your holiday.It is in a good situation right on the beach...

Have a look at Domaine de Soleil Plage super site, big pool plenty for kids to do onsite and is also a riverside situation with organised canooing. About 15-20 mins from Sarlat - superb old town especially on market day and within easy reach of Domme and Beynac.
