Hi , We have just bought a Bailey grande se messina.We have loads of 240v sockets but just 2 12 v. Is it easy to swap a 240 to a 12 v socket and best place to get one. Thanks Mike

Not that easy - you'd need to re-wire from a 12v source after removing the trim the panel is on.
Is there a reason why you need more 12v sockets? It is not an easy task to swap wiring unless you have a circuit diagram and are competent with electrics as you do not want to put your family in danger.
When people state it is NOT easy, it all depends on your level of competence.
For myself I would be easy to do, but for me to colour in a paint by numbers picture would not be a very easy task.
Search through the various caravan supply shops, for sockets, Google makes it easy. As does You Tube for changing things.

You need to be careful whatever you do doesn’t compromise any outstanding Warranty from Bailey or your Dealer. If you don’t know use an AWS engineer
I'm curious as to why the need for extra 12v sockets.
We off-grid for the 98% of our vanning and only have 1 12v socket in the van.

if you brought your caravan from dealership i am sure they would put some extra 12v sockets in for you just give them a ring.

Yes it's awkward for a numpty to change a socket. Then again it's hard for someone to change a caravan wheel, if you are disabled.

My old girl has a 230v system made up of basically spurs.. Later models may be ring main which will need a different approach to any capping off and maintaining continuity of the mains circuit.
I expect Mike knows that and will tell us how he intends approaching the conversion.
Meanwhile the various sockets required are easily available on line or at most reputable caravan dealers.
In this particular case, the OP's question is impossible for us to answer based on the information we have received. Based on the way the question has been asked, it calls into question the OP's understanding of the electrical system in the caravan, and that also raises concerns, becasue someone who would know about electrics would not need to ask this type of question.
Professionally I have had to deal with far too many DIY attempts at changes in caravans where the DIY'er has got it wrong and in some case had very serious consequence.
It is irresponsible to offer unfettered advice where there are signs of a lack of knowledge that could lead the person into real danger. What are the chances such a person has all the necessary test gear to be able to not only make the changes he wants, but to be able to properly test it for safety afterwards?
This is the danger of anonymised forums, where no has any real knowledge about the competencies of any other member - unless they know them personally.
But you could reply to the question by asking , what would the 12 volt supply be used for. And therefore give a sensible answer .

Several people already have asked the OP to provide more information, but until he does, there is nothing that builds any more confidence in his abilities to start the job.
Perhaps with your aeronautical experience you could talk him through it?
