I came across their website previously and was amazed at the scope of the contents. Thanks for the post.
The various advertising brochures listed in it makes you realise just how advanced/luxurious a modern caravan really is and how light some of the older/larger caravans were.

My 1983 Ace Globetrotter was regarded as mid-range when new but as delivered was 650kg and had no mains electric, no hot water, no heating, no cassette toilet - but did have fridge and an oven - I fitted mains electric, hot water and heating - probably exceeding the 800kg gross weight in the process!

It was nice to see the brand names of cars that are no longer in production i.e. Simca. Corollas were only introduced into SA in 1975 and were an unknown brand.

Good one Gary,
Lovely to see my old Renault 16 and Triumph 2000. No wonder the Sprite was so small by today’s standards.
So much brilliant improvement yet they still leak🙉

Look weights of vehicles, Mini was 625kg compared to its modern class equivalent Swift 1000kg. Modern engines and bodies maybe lighter construction its all safety and creature comforts that have added mass. Swift footprint is quite a bit larger but cabin isn't much roomier than Mini's.
