Chez

A mate of mine towed their Swift twin axle for a couple years with his Surf, his was a 3.0 auto and was ok, mind you the surf liked a drink though........!

Chez,

Sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news, but the 2.4 auto is prone to overheatig problems, and split cylinder heads, I speak from bitter experience!!

I had a Surf about 6 years ago, and found it a great motor solo, but a bit under powered towing, and as Danny says it liked a drink.

After the head was replaced, I fitted an additional oil cooler to the auto box, which improved matters slightly.

Good luck Chez and keep your eye on the temperature guage!!!!

cheers Tony
