ALKO ATS System

Ive read various articles on the new Alko new Anti - Snake system and every thing seems very positive.

Can anybody tell me the approximate cost of a single axle version?

I am aware that Bailey are already fitting it to a few of there new models, does anybody know if any other manufacturers are going to follow suit?

Hi,

Both the AL-KO ATS and LEAS systems have been on sale in Europe for a few years - with LEAS being the first to market.

Typical prices are Euro 500 + fitting - so that's around GBP 350 + fitting.

And one of the reasons for the slow start in the UK has been the requirement to use the ISO 11446 (Euro) connector between car and caravan.

Bailey made some changes to the ATS system - in collaboration with AL-KO - to allow it to be used with the old 12N+S car to caravan connection system.

However, I'd rather have the superior 13 pin Euro (ISO 11446) connector, and it's rummored that this will be the UK standard from 2008 onwards.
