Anniversaries

Keep on hearing about anniversaries as we get older. Mine is the 70th anniversary of a journey that lasted two years. Started in July 51, in October was in largest airlift in ten days since WW2 of 60000 troops to Egypt. Any one on here who was on it?.

So it's not just the Russians that move into independent nations!! It could not have been very pleasant for what was largely conscript force in that heat, and which lasted for quite a while.

Yes, but we don't do it very often. India, France, Nepal, America, Canada, Afghanistan twice, much of South Africa, Africa the other bits, the Middle East and the Isle of man to name a few. But its all OK, we're British. Doesnt matter as long as its only the PBI paying for it.

It's our 21st Wedding Anniversary today, which also marks the first anniversary of not going to Lake Como to celebrate our 20th πŸ˜₯
