I have just been discussing (with a friend!) how she can obtain one of the radio listening devices to aircraft. She saw somebody with one on a site last year, but didn't feel able to ask about the equipment he was using. Does anyone on Forum have one? Does anyone know anything about them? Where can they be obtained? I promised I would let her know the outcome.

I must be mad putting this online!!! I now await all comments!!!

Be careful. It is illegal to listen to police frequencies. Your not likely to be done for it but it only takes one stroppy cop to put you in the dock.

Thanks Mark and Sharon I will have look on the website.

Donald - I think my friend is only interested in listening to airplanes. Her interest lies only in watching planes, sad I know. I keep telling her to get a life!

Donald.

Don`t know if you are aware but Police have new airwave radio`s which you are unable to tune into.

Only way to get one is to steal it but even then Police are able to shut down stolen radio.

In my part of world crooks would give anything to get hold of one of these radio`s.
