I used to live in Lockerbie, so never used this site but never heard bad things either! Not very helpful I know. Any info you need about the area let me know, I may know nothing about that as well!

One tip though, if coming north from M6, be careful before reaching Carlisle. There are Major works as they build M/Way, from Carlisle to Gretna junction on M74. Listen to traffic reports, diversion is through Longtown to Gretna if it gets shut down, exit at Carlisle J44 and follow A7 to Longtown.
