Get loads of strange looks because the car looks so small with a large caravan (Olympus 534) but its only 80% and tows like a dream 27mpg towing too.

I presume you are at 80% with the van unloaded?

Van loaded is around the 1450 kgs mark

The Audi only has a max tow weight of 1800kgs and kerbweight is around the 1600kgs mark

You do well to get 27mpg, I tow a (smallish) Swift with my A4 Avant 2.0 litre TDI 170ps and struggle much above 25mpg. Maybe it's speed, I do like to keep near to max permissable (and when safe to do so of course)

I think you'll find that the kerbweight of the A4 Cabriolet with a 3.0TDI engine is more in the region of 1790kg (manual) or 1815kg (automatic).
