Awning identification request

Hi there,

I recently bought a bailey ranger 550/6 that came with an awning. Unfortunately, there were no instructions with the awning, so I'm trying to figure out how to set it up. I was hoping there might be an online manual to download, but there is no manufacturer information on the awning other than a logo and a hand-written number on the label. Photos attached in the hope that someone can tell me the make / model, or point me to a website for downloadable instructions.

All help greatly appreciated.

The way I would go about it would be to experiment with initially just putting the frame up on its own and forget about the canvas completely.
That way you should be able to fairly easily work out what pole go where. When you have done tgat then label each joint for future reference.
Simples Sergei!

When we were managing a youth football team one of the guys was always buying and selling frame tents and the like, he always used to bring one or two to the football fest we did each year, we would set up the day before, bbq’s masques, stalls etc and a load of us would camp out. Generally after a hard days graft he would produce his latest purchase/purchases and we would set about putting them up, great fun after a beer or two. We became fairly good at working out what went where. Then once they were up as Mr P says we would colour code the poles and sometimes the pole pockets. We would never see the same one again as he sold them 😡 great fun though.

We would basically take the same approach as Mr P

If new to all this and a member of either of the main camping clubs then go to any rally meet taking it along.
There I have no doubt if you make it known you are new to awnings there will be several other attendees only too willing to help you, danger might be they take over but even then you will see how it goes. Once done then as taken down mark the poles as suggested though in many cases it can be somewhat self evident.

As a general point, if it is of a ridge design with a central support, with the canvas hanging from the awning rail the first poles to go in and last to come out of the canvas are that ridge's pole together with its vertical support. Done that way the whole is stable and enabling the other poles to be fitted.
