We are thinking of taking our van to the Baltic Coast in Germany this summer. Ususal questions - has anyone been, what's the weather like in July / August, campsites, things to do etc. Thanks in anticipation>
 
I have only stayed at sites on the Baltic coast in Germany on my way through to Denmark and Sweden so I can't say much about them. In general, however, there is a much bigger choice of sites on the old West German side but they are on the whole more expensive than those on the ex-GDR side. Weatherwise it's comparable with the southern UK although it's probably a little less changeable. It may be worth pointing out that most sites in the east tolerate naturism so don't be surprised if your neighbours walk past in the Emperor's clothes.
