Beechwood Grange, York

Hello Bob

We have stayed at this site, at this time of year I would imagine it would be popular with families because of its good facilities. Its proximity to York and the East Coast makes it ideal for exploring. Its a fairly open site that feels rural however there is some road noise (A64) not enough to deter a return visit for us. Hope this helps.

Hello Bob,

we have stayed at beechwood grange twice and it's a very nice site usual cc standard, the park and ride into york at monks cross is quite close to site, also at monks cross is a nice shopping center with a asda and sainsburys.

Hi

Beechwood Grange cc is a lovely site. Stopped there last weekend, we always stop there as our first trip out of the season. Have been going there at least 2 per year for past 5-6 years. Its just off the A64. The site is flat, mostly hard standing, if its been raining heavily, some of the pitches do have water on them. Usual cc standards, there's a relaxed atmosphere to the site, popular with families and couples. There is a fish and chip van that visits on a Friday, also visited on Saturday and I think one day in the week.

Park and ride is not far away to take you into York and is much easier and cheaper than parking in the centre of York. The east coast, Harrogate, Leeds, Badford etc and parts of North Yorkshire are within reasonable driving distance.

Tip avoid the A64 on a Friday tea time if you can as it can be busy. Hope this helps Annette
