Bordeaux - Camp sites

Good evening,

We are considering taking our van to the Bordeaux area, can anyone recommend a site?? What facilities are there - our family has flown the nest, we are looking for somewhere quiet - just for the two of us.

Many thanks

David

If you dont mind being a bit inland try Domaine de la Barbanne at the fabulous village of St Emillion.A lovely site close to the village which is a fabulous place to visit. The site has all the usual facilities and fishing lake,is fairly quiet as it is not on the coast, they run a minibus into St Emilion. The site is surroundede by hundreds of the best vineyards in France with many doing tastings.Bordeaux is not too far and also in the other direction Bergerac is also well worth a visit. The site is easy to get to and there is loads of places to visit.Pitches generally have shade and if you go ask for a pitch by the flower cart as these are set back and overlook the lake and the old cart full of flowers.
