Gary - Yep, had one fitted to my Beemer last year (Aug 04) Good piece of kit, fitted by a local specialist, about half the price of a BMW dealer. Only criticism I'd make is that although the towbar is easy to detach and attach, and locks in place with a removeable key, the electical sockets are very awkwardly placed under the rear bumper skirt, which means you almost have to crawl under the car on your back to see where they are supposed to go. After a few attemps you can "feel" your way in, but they're still a pain. Car looks good though, as there's no sight of either the towball or the electrical sockets when solo. Cost was

Hi

I do have a Bosal Detachable towbar fitted to my Honda Accord it was supplied as a genuine Honda Accessory. I so far have had 3 replacements under warranty. Could you please do me a favor check with the hitch fitted and locked in position with the key removed (No caravan Attached) if you can rotate the large knob clockwise against spring tension at all, and is their any play in the ball

Thanks

Gary

Gary - check the socket hasn't got caked in muck, and also give the towbar itself a good spraying of WD40 (be careful to avoid the ball if you've got an ALKO stabiliser)I've checked mine and there is no play at all once the bar's locked in place. I can't turn the locking ring either, once the key's removed - in fact it's pretty difficult to turn when it's unlocked. Hope this helps, perhaps a Bosal specialist could check it out for you as maybe your Honda dealer doesn't know enough about towbar installation to do it properly? There certainly shouldn't be any play at all. Have you tried contacting Bosal directly? Good luck.
