Brighouse Bay Kirkcudbright

Yvonne,

we stayed there two summers ago and found it to be quite a good site, clean showers, good shop and a bar which did food.

It a lovely coast line, with good walks.

They had tv hook-up and well as 16amp power.

Sorry unable to comment about New Year time but hope this helps.

Like JonnB I can't comment on new year but having just returned from a week at Brighouse Bay I don't think you will be disappointed. We have been for the last 5 years at October 1/2 term and have never been disappointed. The Halloween fancy dress on Saturday night can get quite busy so expect new year to be manic. If you have a hip flask I would take it as it can take a while to get served at the bar.

Hi Yvonne,

We have stayed at Brighouse Bay several times at the New Year and can recommend it. It's a great campsite with good clean facilities.

However, if you want to go to their New Year's Eve party you will need to phone the Leisure Club and book your tickets. Generally they are sold out well in advance so you will need to call immediately.

Hope you have a great time

Mac.
