What’s the coolest gadget you all have?

practical but also a bit unusual/easy on the eye?

would love the motors to remote control the van off its pitch, but a bit too expensive for me

Hi Jason.
Yes,they can be a little expensive but I find ours invaluable when parking our caravan at the storage compound.

Oh.....the wife's practical,unusual but easy on the eye🤣🤣

I use the plastic lengths of awning channel strips when not towing.
I find they do help a little with the black streaks.
Also, one of these awning rail brushes to give the rail a quick clean from time to time.

Budget gadget: Dog lead for pulling the awning through the channel.

Overpriced, (but it does go beep): Truma gas level measure thing.

short length of drainpipe (clean and never used for waste!) to fill the aquaroll
Trained the wife to empty the loo, that has turned out to be a great gadget

Not a gadget, but we have twice taken optional L shaped lounges on our caravans. For those who know the model the different windows stand out and cause some odd looks.
I did see a lady stand and stare at our Eldiss Shamal's long side window for some time before wandering off to her Shamal with the conventional front end. Never did tell her why ours was different. The dealer was so impressed with it that they took two on spec the next year and sold them quickly enough.

Never owning a motor mover until 2019 I love using the remote to reverse the caravan in storage or on Hardstanding pitches it worth every penny .:)

My best budget piece was to cut a 1 meter length of three core cable from an old microwave, then chop it in half. Then each section was pushed into the cam track of the Heki rooflight. When using the rooflight I remove the cable and push it back in after the rooflight is in position. It would stop the rooflight getting flicked wide open by wind gusts, which it seemed particularly sensitive too.

Second best which cost a lot more was a HDPE chopping board which could take the footplate of my jack without distortion. Very expensive as my wife insisted that I bought her a new one of the right colour.
