Anyone been to this site, joined C&CC last week as l could not get in at Ayton CC, usual thing booked up Friday/Saturday.

I had know problems at the C&CC, my view is l had to pay £35 deposit that's why l could get in, l have booked hard standing with hook up but looking on Google Earth they all look like grass pitches,

I booked online HWE are they the type with the grass re-enforced with the plastic base.

This will be our first time at a C&CC site so hopefully they will be as good as CC, at least you have more chance of doing late bookings with them, hence why l joined.

We have been there a few times, the hardstandings are the plastic mesh in the grass type, not gravel. Its a nice site in a good location, gate through to the pub next door where they do 2 for 1 or simalar meal offers at certain times. Havnt been there this year as we went to West Ayton instead (just for a change, no other reason) would still use C&CC site again.

Nice site, have visited friends there recently. Stayed there a few times when it was known as Scalby Manor, not stayed there since the C&CC took it over although we are members

We went a couple of years ago - found it far too busy and felt we had to keep an eye on the children every second as people were driving too fast on site access roads. Nothing wrong with the site itself though.

We visited it earlier this year as other sites were full in the area. We enjoyed ur but the weather was poor. It was a Bank Holiday so what did we expect.

{pipe delimiter}It is a good well run site although large by normal C&CC standards. It has a shop and restaurant (OK, cafe) on site and as mentioned there is a pub through the gate in the next field. It is a long walk into town though and although there is a bus, it is not as frequent as you might wish. Parking in Scarborough is available but of course, you pay. You can walk across the coast road onto a cliff walk which is fine for dogs, at least there were plenty of them when we were there.

Scarborough is a typical English seaside town, you either like it or hate it, but the town centre is quite nice

The pub next door to the site is the kind that those without kids choose to avoid! Plenty of rooms for children but no adult only rooms. SWMBO and I went on a May bank holiday, mid September may be different. Leave the site by the main gate and spend twenty to thirty minutes walking into Scalby and you will be rewarded with a couple of lovely pubs. Including friendly bar staff who are more than willing to order a taxi back for you.

The site is too far from the centre of Scarborough to comfortably walk.

just visited Scarborough on August bank holiday weekend and can recommend the Red Dragon chinese buffet - 121 Falsgrave Rd

Scarborough, YO12 5EG - 01723 369099.

The York CAMRA web site offers a guide to good pubs as well.

Scarborough - great place - hope you have a good time.
