Hi Nick,

Going on the same crossing in August. We've booked on to a site about a mile or so from the ferry terminal for the night. http://leshautescoutures.site.voila.fr/. We booked the site at the same time as booking the crossing etc via the Caravan Club. Good luck.

We're on the same crossing next Tuesday (11th) and have been advised that you can stay on the quayside. Last year we arrived on July 14th and had to stay in a Camping Municipal just down the road. It was comfy enough but they didn't open the gates till 7.00 am. Normally we are on the road by 5.30 so that delayed us.

If you don't mind roughing it .......

Turn right out of the port. Just after the road bends to the left (with the port railings still visible on the right) enter the car park on your right. It will probably have several motorhomes - it did last year. Looked pretty safe, as there were so many of them.
