We're thinking of booking a site at Agde or Cap D'agde in September. Any advice on particular sites and the area in general will be gratefully received. Thanks. Chris

I'd agree about Neptune - it's ideally situated between Grau d'Agde (seaside village) and the town of Agde. Good sized pitches, friendly reception, and other staff who all take an interest in looking after the site. There are loads of sites around Agde, Grau d'Agde, and Cap d'Agde. Some of them are along quite a busy road, so a bit noisy. One such is Domaine de Champs Blanc - but to compensate it does have a fantastic pool complex, and a lovely restaurant (very inexpensive). There's lots of sites at Vias, nearby, too. September is a lovely time to visit though, and traffic, and sites are less busy then.

Hello Chris.

We returned from France last night and one of the places visited was Adge so the information is up-to-date on one of the sites mentioned above - namely 'Camping les Champs Blancs' which we were visiting for the second year running.

This site offers particularly good value for money IF you use Camping Cheques ( especially if you stay for fourteen days when, under their discount scheme, you would only be charged for eleven ).

Our reasons for preferring it to the Camping Neptune site are twofold. Firstly, as Valerie mentioned, it has a fantastic pool complex but more important than that is the fact that a high proportion of the pitches have their own little cabin with a shower, WC, toilet and washing-up facility all at no extra cost.

Take a look at .

Hope this helps, regards,

Olly.

In September you will have your choice of sites and pitches. Just forget the last 2 weeks in July and the first 2 weeks of August, unless you were brought up on Butlins type holidays. We stayed last uyear on one of the Yello Village sites and yes the pool complex was extremely good and the toilet facilties excellent. But the downside was swimming in the pool was impossible, you stood on your 2 feet in a large crowd and there was entertainment every night, which was good to bad. However, I now know to ask for a pitch at the very back of the site as it is definitely mcuh quieter.

Again , if it is your cup of tea, and have teenage kids then they are ideal. For us oldies maybe not so nice in high season.

Thanks Valerie. As above, it looks just what we want. Chris
