Hi folks,

I was doing some scrolling through forums the ther week and I came across a post about a modification someone had done to their caravan which showed a video of water dripping from the underside of their van, they had inserted some 90 degree pvc or something between the ply and the lip of the shell.

Wondered if anyone has seen it and might be able to link me to it...I'm intrigued by it and can't find it again

It could be a couple of images I put on,I used 25 mm X 25mm PVC angle(cut to 90°) fastened on using shirt stainless steel screws

The black block that can be seen in the bottom image is part of the repairs I did to the "buffer rail" I couldn't find any to replace it, but that's another tale as they say

the water that flows down the awning rail hits the PVC angle drops to the floor,otherwise it can flow down the panel and collect on the underside of the caravan

Nice and tidy birdman! Did you just slide it into the back piece or is it mechanically fastened with screws or is it glued or just a damn tight fit?

Just bonded on with Sikaflex looking from the back, in front of the row of screws fixing the back panel,so that it drips of before being able to soak through the screw holes, Also done the sides from the rear to about 300 mm along.

Can't help but be intrigued why you ended up with this arrangement of blocks and shims under your support leg? Please explain!

Perhaps it was before you found that you could raise and lower them with crank handle?

Or maybe your added plastic skirt had a return around the corner that covered up the hex winder?

Keeps it more stable,ie the more extended the jack's the more the caravan can rock, usually I use higher blocks than those.if by fitting the PVC angle it caused any other problems it wouldn't of been fitted
