We have had alarmed vans for years and our VIP for 8 years. We bought a friend's Abbey Spectrum this summer too. (Please don't ask why !!!) Anyway the last couple of days have been wet, windy and gusty and both alarms on the vans have been set and when I've come home from work are just making a whining noise, so how long they'd been on I don't know. I add that we live out in the sticks so no-one would have taken any notice anyway. We have been away in far windier conditions and had far stronger winds at home and this has never happened before. Just wondered why, and to two vans ? They hadn't been tampered with at all.
 
On two occasions I have seen, or rather heard, alarms triggered when someone nearby was using a van mover and assumed the alarm was triggered by the mover remote. Possibly someone was using a remote car lock/unlock key or somesuch . Parcel delivery van maybe ?
