Should mean more choice in the second hand market, hopefully at reduced prices

And presumably much more pressure on pitch availability, especially in the high season.

"We're in the business of making dreams come true."

A good place to start would be to assemble them so dreams don't become nightmares.

Hopefully with more PCP financing buyers will find it easier to reject poorly thrown together heaps of poor quality parts masquerading as caravans. No need to argue with dealers, just get the finance co to sort it, new van please as thats wot the monthly payment is for not a faulty one.

More buyers could finally provide the quality the price should deliver.

Anseo, lower prices also mean lower trade in prices so it is a swings and roundabouts situation but it is good if there is more choice of stock

And no doubt a price increase

Sorry , I meant on the sites if they are going to be in more demand

It might go the other way with higher utilisation fixed costs may be spread over more customers. I would like to see the clubs increase their number of sites as it will become more difficult for those at work, or with children to get bookings over weekends.

Couple of points:
Frenzy Day that reduces the ability of working folk / families to book Honey Pot sites is only applicable to the Caravan & Motorhome Club. Where, if you don't know the system, like wot long term members know full well how to use to best advantage, you may struggle to get a booking on that one particular day. There were lots of vacancies across other sites on the network on that day.

I have learned the system. For last year and this year I made the effort to log on at the allotted time and get bookings on the honey pot site wanted. Last year it was for the Bristol Balloon Festival, this year is Easter to mark the first anniversary of passing of father in law; at Baltic Wharf.

This year is 2 other sites for specific events. Booked online on Frenzy Day whilst in the middle of the Bay of Biscay aboard Queen Elizabeth on a satellite link.

However, have been to Baltic Wharf and another honey pot site, Chatsworth, in school holidays without frenzy day madness. Strangely by using old technology and telephoning the wardens to enquire of vacancies near to the time we wanted. Although BW was full to the brim, Chatsworth was only 67% of capacity, it must be all those block bookers who book on frenzy day and cancel later with no penalty.

There are non CAMC sites available. The other club and commercial sites. In fact loads of choice, but subject to various restrictions that could affect workers / families like Sat to Sat, Weds to Weds only full week bookings. Doubtless commercial businesses will change to meet demand far faster than the dinosaur that is CAMC. We've not yet failed to get a pitch when we want, in the area we want. The CL network often comes in handy.

I agree and also managed to get two "wanted" sites on frenzy day. It's surprising when I look back but at one time we only ever used Club sites, then we started to use CL/CS and now include commercial sites. I must say that most of the commercial sites have been every bit as good as club ones, and no more expensive. So w enow just see whats available where we want to go to and have no preconceived notions that it must be a club site.
