Caravan Jack

I have just bought a new caravan and when I got it home discovered that there where two screws in the tyre. I went to change the tyre and discovered there is no Jack. Should a jack be issued with a caravan. They issued a wheel brace, but no brace. Also I could not find the jacking point mentioned in handbook. In the end I had to get RAC out.

Ian, welcome to the wonderful world of "extras"

With a caravan you have to check the specification of the van to see what is included, normally not very much!!!

The usual "extras" you have to provide are:

Battery, Jack, water containers, levelling blocks, and all your personal equipment.

The jacking point, unless you buy the Al-Ko side lift jack, which has special jack pads which attach to the chassis, is the reinforced area of the chassis directly behind the wheels, or the axle tube as close to the wheels as possible.
