I have a trolley jack at home, but there is no way I would be hauling a trolley jack around with the caravan.
My solution is a small hydraulic bottle jack and rather than faffing around with welding, the lifting brackets are 1 inch, thick wall box tubing drilled through and bolted straight to the chassis with thick wall tube acting as lifting pad that prevents the bolt crushing the vertical box section when bolts are tightened.
