It is open for around 11 months and they take seasonal tourers, not sure what the cost is. It has recently changed hands and they do seem to be putting more lodges on the park but still very nice. Excellent facilities including adventure playground for kids, and small leisure suite.

One thing to mention is that there is a fishing lake on the park fairly close the caravans so if you're kids are young you may want to bear this in mind.

It's on the outskirts of York, close to Clifton Moor with plenty of shops/restaurants and a park and ride.

We go a few times a year as it's convenient for a short weekend break.

Hope this is useful,

Richard.

Goosewood is a nice enough site but has deteriorated for tourers in favour of the chalets and the guaranteed money IMO. We stayed there for a week in 2006 and revisited last year and noted a decline in the touring facilities (site roadways, rubbish removal, toilet cleanliness etc.

Cheers
