Carver Crystal Water Pump

Help, new to caravanning, just bought a Compass Rallye 460/2 GTE which has a Carver Crystal Water System, (for shower etc) however the chap who sold it stripped it bare of equipment and won't give me the water pump, the manual states it requires a Thames Water Pump part number L230231 but all of the camping sites seem to talk about Crystal Mk 2 and Mk 3 I assume mine is a Mk 1 and I have sourced a Thames Pump but the part number is 605768, is this the same, will it fit etc? help also where can I get new filter cartridges? The water pump is part of the caravan. You should insist that the vendor gives you the pump.

I agree with Dusty. I don't understand why he wants to keep the water pump. You could go along to your local caravan dealer and just ask, one of them has to be compatable. Look at the connections on the pump you'll get an idea from that. If you get the wrong one you can change it. Failing that or maybe better, contact Compass or Carver and they will tell you.

Hi Jane, the Carver Thames pump was the highest flow model they did, from memory up to 11 Litres a minute, so basically any submersible pump that fits the hose will work. Similar models are available from Whale, Reich, and Comet. As your other respondents have said your local caravan dealer will probably have the necessary spare parts, failing that look on Ebay.co.uk where they frequently come up for sale (search on "carver")

The Maxi pump is the highest rated pump at 9 litres a minute at the head. The Thames is rated at 7 litres at minute.
