carver gas fire

had the caravan out over the past couple of days but having problems with the gas fire.it appears that no gas is getting to the fire.i have checked the valves are open and the ignition sparks but no gas seems to be coming through to the fire.the fire is a carver in a 1998 lunar solar.any ideas please
 
paul, How long have you tried for? The air in the system can take some time to be pushed out by the gas. If the push rod is pushed down and the igniter is operated regularly then it is possible that it could light after a period of time.

thanks ray. i have tried over a long period of time probably a few hours over 2 days following the instuctions in the manuel and leaving a few minutes in between.the gas goes to the hob ok just not to the fire.
 
Hi Paul , maybe an insect/spider has built a nest in the gas jet/pipe or you may have a fliud/debris blockage in the pipe , just guessing . Has any work or damage been done that could have creased the pipe inside the van or underneath ? .
