Many thanks chaps.

Clive way back early December I did as you suggested recently. I felt it was important to follow the Amazon Complaints Procedure.

The Amazon Customer Services replied almost instantly. After a few exchanges they sent me an email they sent to the seller requesting they reimburse me. As usual the seller sent a stereo typed note saying the matter had been referred to “Herpes” for investigation.
Nothing so far.

Now doing a Prof and Buckman.

See this

I’m not holding my breath.
Is it worth referring this issue to Kate Morley at the Daily Teelgraph, the Consumer Champion?

I had one Amazon market place seller who didn’t play by the rules over a set of ice grips.. Within a couple of weeks they were off the Marketplace. But this wasn’t a delivery issue, more an inadequate product.
Have you tried going back again to Amazon saying no reply from the seller?

Good luck.

My system will not open your link it says "This site can’t be reached" so I can't comment on its content.

Speaking to my son this afternoon hes had a road salt container delivered tyat was cracked. The courier had disappeared before he could check it. So hes put the wheels in motion for a refund or exchange from the market place seller via Amazon.

Dicey descent from his drive then another hill to main road. ☹️

Prof Here’s a print.

Good morning,

Happy New Year.
Sadly , even with your A-Z help last December this matter remains unsettled.
I have had no refund from the Seller nor Amazon.
All I get from the Seller is a Chatbot stereo typed reply saying they have asked Evri to investigate.

According to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, my Contract for purchase is with you. In fact it was Amazon who debited my credit card account held with you.The only name on my December statement is Amazon!

Please will you resolve this issue asap and ensure I receive the correct refund to my account this week .The perishable peanuts deteriorated over Christmas. Mould was growing on the whole bag which for health reasons I have thrown away. No one from you or the Seller ever bothered to collect them throughout the whole of December.

Please can you resolve this issue for me .

Many thanks

It is not so much the refund that counts, but it is the principle counts especially when using the courier in question who have a poor reputation.

Nothing Clive
Since that debacle I have successfully returned two items using the diy computer and bins installed by Amazon at Morrisons. Refund back on my bank within 48 hours.
Small Claims Court ? But I really don't want the hassle. I've posted a don't use them post.

I can understand not wanting SCC hassle on a relatively low value item. Good news though about the two successes.

Today Amazon have let me down like a cheap pair of tights, failed to deliver a £200 item. It says they will deliver before Tuesday if not a refund can be had. We shall see.
Last time this happened they refunded and I bought again but the price has gone up in the meantime.😟

Slightly Fred Drift, I ordered 3 cheap TOY drones for my two sons and myself to play with on Christmas day. It looked like a UK purchase site, but after ordering them I received a confirmation from "Dieredree" saying order received and then follow up E mails saying they were being dispatched from the USA, follow up E mail , now in USA customs, then Now in UK customs, . .

Eventually I received an E mail from UK Royal Mail saying we have a package for you from China. Delivered next day. Total scam email about delivery from USA.

But the three little drones are fantastic. 75 grams each so no need for my son's to have drone operator licenses.m

It got worse. See the photo. Herpes delivered another parcel and dumped it in the wet recycling box. The lid and heavy brick left on the lawn!

20 minutes of Amazon chat bot I keep, the goods and a full refund is in my account. The peanuts remains o/s but I’m ahead now!
The good news Amazon’s team are speaking the Herpes about where they deposit goods!

You do realise they changed their name to Evri, as this is the way they delver every time.

That’s a good outcome but quite clearly the delivery company really need to up their game and not “dump” toilet seats in wet places. 😱

Money talks! The savings they make using couriers like Evri etc id probably more than enough to make up for any claims they have to pay out. About 2 - 3 years ago we often saw vans with Amazon on the side delivering goods, but have not seen one for awhile.

A bit of Fred Drift. Although generally we shop Online at Amazon after reading reviews, in some instances we have found the same goods elsewhere at a lower price even after adding on delivery charges. I think it should be some sort of law that allows the consumer to see which courier will be delivering the goods. Perhaps there should be second choice even if the consumer pays the difference.

We are quite relaxed about who delivers our items as these days companies work with other companies depending on size if goods, geographical areas etc. We get stuff ostensibly via Royal Mail but actually delivered by DPD or some anonymous van. With Amazon sometimes we “bundle” deliveries up into a single day…. the Amazon Day available under Prime. Other times if a delivery time isn’t convenient we divert it to a locker so we can collect at our convenience. Even our local RM sorting office has an array of lockers for delivery or returns.

I bought an item this week that was on Amazon. I then went direct onto the sellers website and even after paying £4.99 delivery worked out cheaper than through Amazon. Ordered 3pm Weds afternoon and Parcelforce delivered 11am Yesterday, Thursday morning
