Chassis bent

Found this bent on my TA chassis, I think someone jacked the caravan up there.

Is is something to worry about? Do I need to fix it?

Thanks!Screenshot 2024-08-12 at 11.32.08.png

Keep half wary eye on it, in case the galvanising was/is cracked, and corrosion sets in. Other than that I certainly wouldn't worry about it in the slightest.

The galvanise penetrates to a fair old depth as they are hot dipped at a vary high temperature, so nothing to worry about.
Cold galvanise would be a different kettle of fish
Every day is a school day, thanks for adding to my knowledge base. I didny know there was a difference, but I do now :nomouth:

I know from experience that a dent such as the one in the OP's post will very rarely lead to any dangerous corrosion. A Martin points out the galvanising is surprisingly good on Alko parts. You only have to look at older caravans, its almost always the body and other fittings that lose their integrity, the chassis is often the parts standing.
