Chateau des Marais, Nr Chambord Loire Valley

Has anyone stayed at this campsite recently. Would be interested to hear any reports good or bad.

We looked round this site last August when we stayed at

a Castels Site - Chateau le Grenouilliere at Mer. It looked a very nice site and in the middle of countryside and right on the doorstep of Chambord. Pool complex looked good as did the pitches which all seemed to be in avenues off one of the main roads through the site. I think I preferred the site we were at as it was closer to the motorway (not within hearing distance) and therefore we had ease of access to other area. A very good Super U just up the road! Chenonceau was within driving distance for a day out and Chambord should certainly not be missed.

Hi Jill,

We stayed there for a couple of nights in July 2006. We found it to be a nice site with excellent facilities - lovely swimming pool etc. It's only 10 mins from the motorway and within easy distance of Futuroscope at Poiters.

We stayed there in June 2004 - for a week on our way back from the West - and visited a different ch

We have stayed there a number of times en route to or from the ferry from one night to four we have always found it excellent with easy access to the auto-route and with a good boulangerie in the village and of course close to many chateau including the famous Chambord,highly recommended.
