children in hotel rooms..

We are touring england for 1 month in the summer with our 4 kids. At the end of the trip our bailey van is going for its second service and as a treat we decided to end our holiday in a hotel in blackpool while this is getting done.

However we cannot find a hotel that will accomodate all of us in 1 room, there is a hotel that will take 2 adults and 3 children so my question is has anyone booked for x amount of kids and turned up with more AND got away with it.. the price is reasonable and includes breakfast

Thank god for our 6 berth van, this hotel thing is too stressful!

Thanks for that Lord B

unfortunately family room means 2 adults 2 kids (and maybe an infant in a travel cot). These hotels will happily give us 2 rooms with linking doors but will charge us the full price of 2 rooms which I feel is unfair

Hi Brenda

When I was in travel, we were able to top and tail child, this means that two children could share a bed when the combined ages of these children added up to less than 11.

Not sure if the same rule applies in the UK?
