We've booked for Chirk for the weekend. From what I can see, Llangollen looks to be a promising day out, crossing the aqueduct etc. Does anyone know of any other "must-sees" close by? Thanks in anticipation.
 
There are two NT properties close by, Erddig and Chirk Castle.A bit further you have Powys Castle at Welshpool which is worth a visit.Llangollen has enough to keep you occupied for a few hours, a drive further on to the Horseshoe Pass is very scenic.The weather forecast is pretty good !
