Kev,
I’ll PM you . The location ticks the boxes as does FSP and Β£25 a night. I will have plenty of good Scottish pure malts too. We won’t be cooking Turkey , hopefully all the M&S nibbles after a few bevvies at The Pickwick Inn🍺πŸ₯ƒπŸ₯ƒπŸΊ
Im sure you will enjoy, pub saved by the parishioners after being closed for sometime.
Granted an Asset of Community Value (ACV) by the local council. lovely area, and off course the Pilchard Inn isn't that far away.

We have not had roast turkey for Christmas dinner for probably over 20 years. We find turkey too dry no matter how you cook it and you need to eat it for the rest of the week. Lucky the kids are not fond fo turkey either. We like the 3 bird roasts that Lidl do at Christmas although it does contain turkey or we have leg of lamb.

Can't remember as it was bought about 3 weeks ago. However I think it is Chicken, Turkey and goose or duck with stuffing etc. More than enough for the two of us however it will feed a family of 6.

Ostrich , Secretary bird and Turkey. That’s a light South African dish. πŸ˜‚
Ostrich is far too dry and needs to be done with a lot of oil as it s a game bird so no fats. Ostrich neck if done like an oxtail stew is delicious. The secretary was for when OH was not looking! :ROFLMAO:

In SA at Christmas it was fillet steak on the braai washed down with gallons of Castle beer. If we were lucky crayfish was also on the braai.
