christmas caravaning

hello there, can any one suggest a site open for christmas, preferably with clubhouse or pub nearby, tried Ross Park,Devon but they can't accomodate our twin axle van, would actually prefer to stay around Norfolk thinking about it save on the fuel costs a bit......Mark

Hi fulltimer.....Well we are off to the Club Site at Broadway..We went there last year and they had a New Year and Xmas get together on site. We loved b eing away...

Can I ask about Ross Park re a twin Axle not being allowed. We went there a few years ago with our twin Axle..Is this a new thing then.

Chrisann

Sorry Chrisann, misunderstanding, twin axles are allowed they just didn't have a pitch left that was suitable for one, pity as it has to be one of the best sites around.....Mark

thanks all for the suggestions, we have just booked 8 nights at Fakenham racecourse.nothing really planed although the sports centre is open for most of the period for bar and drinks and apparently the local hunt meets there on boxing day...mark

Hi fulltimer. Thanks for the info re Ross Park....and yes it is a lovely Site. Hope you enjoy Fakenham at Xmas...sure you will. Lets hope the weather is o.k. too.

Chrisann.

Does anyone know of a site open at Christmas which will allow you to go and get away from it all. We don't want to socialise or decorate the outside of the van with lights. We just want to have some peace and quiet.

Hi Steve

If we are ever able to get away from family commitments for Christmas, we would want to go somewhere without having to compete in the prettiest light competition & wouldn't require a clubhouse, just a good local pub to eat in when we wanted.

I think I would be looking for a CL that has electric, so how about considering that?

Hope you find somewhere & really enjoy it.

Margaret
