Clachtoll beach campsite

Has anyone been to Clachtoll beach camp/caravan site nr Lochinver, Highlands of Scotland? If so, what are the minor roads ie. B869 like for towing a caravan on to reach site?

Any answers would be appreciated.

Hi Hilary,

We went to Clachtoll for the first time last May.after reading glowing reports about it.The owners live on site and are the most welcoming & friendly people you could meet. You are a 2 minute walk from a beautiful sandy beach.

To get there you have a 7 mile drive from Lochinver on single track road, but as long as you drive carefully, there shouldn't be a problem. It isn't the place to go if you want entertainment on tap,but if peace & quiet and beautiful scenery is on your wish list, then Clachtoll is the place for you.

Have you seen their web site:-

read the reviews and see where paradise is !!

We ere there in September last year as they were about to close for the season. Agree with all Maureen says - beautiful, peaceful site. We found the road a bit hairy - every time we drove, we met something apart from the times we had the caravan on tow. Wouldn't stop us calling again though!
