Clumber Park

I know this subject has been covered loads of times before, but I need to let off steam!

Just returned from 4 nights at Clumber (£90 quid for what?)

The amount of cc members flouting the no ball games rule annoys me. A new play area is now in use at Clumber which includes a set of goal posts - so why play near vans?

I accept that Clumber seems to be a favourite haunt for parents who think its ok to dump the kids outside the van on a Friday night and hope they amuse themselves until Sunday, but more often than not its the parents playing with the ball!

The wardens are nowhere to be seen - on other sites you see them walking around, notepad in hand and generally policing the site. Not here.

I have a 5 year old and view times in the van as the chance to have quality time playing games, generally having fun but at the same time respecting fellow caravanners and their outfits.

Why do some cc members think they are above the rules and look at you gone out when you watch them playing football near your van with your hands on your hips waiting for them to stop?

At least I remembered why we don't go to Clumber Park very often!

Rant over.

You're in the wrong club 😉

The CCC hold rallies at Clumber and the last one I attended was very well run - not officiously (who wants 'Wardens' patrolling around?!) but tactfully, yet still very effectively.

There were no ball games allowed, and no kite flying either - oh, and it was only 6 quid per night for an entire family.

That is so annoying, I know what you mean.

It's a pity you don't have a dog on a long length of rope which could accidentally catch the balls and eat them. LOL.

I tell them to move away and go and play nest to there van that works for me but we do park nest to the play park so we can sit out side and see ower kids on the park and now whot they are doing.

But I thick that the wardens have lost as there is a basket ball net that they put up.
