Here we are on the net and obviously using email.
But do you use instant messaging such as MSN or Skype telephone via PC.
I keep in touch with family, friends and customers by MSN.
My daughters firm uses MSN between offices around England and Scotland and Wales as it saves so much money and they are now using Skype.
I had face to face discussion with a friend in Spain this morning via MSN and a customer just called me via Skype.
Friends I've got onto MSN see and speak to their grand kids via MSN with web cam and mic and I speak to my Cousin and her son face to face in Australia for no more than my internet connection.
I use smart phone for email and net use as even when on holiday I have to keep in touch with work being my own boss.
If you travel regularly with a laptop and need net access and have mobile phone with Infra Red or Blue Tooth try WebToGo connection for lap tops at www.webtogo.de. Dont forget to click on the union flag for english ;-)
License is 29 euro per year. Connection via most mobile phones is cheaper than hotel and a lot of wi-fi spots and invaluable if travelling abroad.
You can set level of data download use to minimise costs and set a ceiling level so you dont sky rocket you mobile bill abroad, you can also degrade the level of the display so the download info is also reduced to save money. Not as fast as broadband but generally quicker than dial up.
