Ok Big Lutz, err I mean Big Roy, see how easy that slips off the tongue? (Oops hot water, lets not go there). If you want to take all the hard technical questions, I'll be right with you! You answer them and I'll agree, teamwork!

Next time you offer our help, it had better be for Sam Fox (no I don't mean the hunted type) or other Sun newspaper type!.

Yes Get well Lutz! Modern medicine is superb.

Did you know that in the bad old days when surgeons were barbers (hence why surgeons are MR and Physicians are Drs) the best surgeons were the quickest.

One surgeon when amputating a gangrenous limb was so fast he nicked his hand with the saw.

He sadly died - as did the patient - but so to did an assistant (on his first day on the job) of a heart attack.

This is the only known operation on record that has a mortality score of 300%.

Get well soon!

Apologies for the sick sense of humour

Lol I was thinking more along the lines of you tackling the very tricky ones and I'd be right behind you, oops better not go there (Billy and Larry again) Lutz you had better hurry up, discharge yourself if need be.

Oh I agree - best to scare people out of hospitals ASAP - horrible places - everyone is sick!

Ask any microbiologist and they will say best thing for an infectious agent is to be put with a lot of sick people in a warm humid place.

Sadly we let the bean counters dictate policy rather than the medics.

Still hopefully if Lutz is being treated "over the water" the problem is better controlled if indeed it exists at all as it does over here.

Too right Lutz - you have to be better for Easter - I need that lager of yours for a clinical trial. Trouble is does anyone have a caravan with a letter box?

Hello folks! it's me, back home again.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I'm overwhelmed.

Still on the road to recovery but doing fine, thanks. Looks as though I caught a virus which, at first, had all the signs of being something more serious (no, not the bird flu). That's why they kept me under observation for a couple of days. But now I've been let loose to join in the fun again.
