I would suspect MS would make sure it can't use Outlook, but never tried,
I having used Thunderbird with Linux, so that never phased me in anyway.
On older machines that will not run the new flavour Outlook I have so far found the few people involved, have accepted Thunderbird once I had reset up their email accounts on it. Or they have not told me!

There will be some changes to the apps you use, but these ought to be easy enough to pick up given a will to invest in doing so.
If the printer will not interface then aft.er dealing with suff on the Chromebook send it to the DELL for that final function
Thinking about it, Outlook 365 is an app and Chromebook allows apps so probably no issue especially if you can use it on a Smartphone?

Googling says "yes" you can run Outlook on Chromebook. I am not around to physically try but would be pretty confident in the validity of that answer.

One less of life's challenges then on having to learn a slightly different way of coping with emailing.

I have transferred most files to the Asus with the keyboard issue prior to dropping off the Dell for repair. Just need to sort out Outlook 365 on the Asus as that can be a right hassle setting it up.

Something for me to do on Tuesday as no chance tomorrow. Amazing when you are retired that you go through many days with nothing much to do, then in one day everything happens. LOL!

Not sure why as you say you can cope with using LibreOffice's writer & spreadsheet etc, you are paying for Outlook 356 and not simply using Outlook as this comes included in Windows itself?
Is this for the enhanced OneDrive "cloud" storage?

Buckman, I have now got my hands on a Chromebook and tried to get MS Outlook from Google's Play Store, I did not try Outlook 365 as I have no account there to use.

MS Outlook as an App is not available, though various "clones" appear to be, though I did not explore these.
What flags up is the image shown. Using the Chrome browser and logging in to MS Outlook, MS's web site as stated works fine for each single MS account. Accessing multiple email accounts will present some challenges if that is needed. Accessing Google mail accounts is an embedded feature with Chromebook OS, so that is very easy.Chromebook Outlook.jpeg

I have 365 on the Dell and Libreoffice on the Asus. Yesterday I moved across al documents etc to the Asus so now have that as a back up. This morning there is no issue with the keyboard on the Dell?

However to add to the conundrum we have no water to our home. Apparently a water pipe has burst on our block and they are working on it at present. Not our fault! LOL!
