Hi
What is the correct procedure for setting up a caravan after unhitching from the car, I though it was leveling with the jockey wheel front to back, then lowering the corner steadies until I felt a little resistance, not using them to bear any real weight or to level the caravan, I also thought that I wasnt to adjust the jockey wheel once the steadies are down as this would then increase the pressure on the steadies and possibly splitting the floor.
My dad has advised me to use the steadies to relieve the pressure on the tyres, generaly applying 2.5 - 3 turns of the winding handle once I feel resistance, the caravan has now been placed in storage but my dad has lifted the jockey wheel into the stowed position after I pointed out that it had lifted from the ground after he had lowered the steadies, I tried questioning but he pointed out that he had more caravaning experience than me
I'm tempted to pop up tomorrow and adjust it and would appeciate some advice folks
Cheers
